EFFECT OF APPLICATION OF ATOMIUM LUBRICANTS IN DIFFERENT NODES OF THE CAR ENGINE.

The specific value of the effect depends primarily on the initial state. If the engine has a significant degree of the wear, if the quality of motor oils and fuels has not always been high, but the engine is still "alive" - there is no catastrophic oil consumption, crankcase pressure is not very large and compression in the cylinders is above 60% of the nominal value for petrol engine and up to 70% for diesel engine, the Atomium effect will be significant. It will be seen without any special equipment.

EFFECT OF APPLICATION OF ATOMIUM LUBRICANTS IN DIFFERENT NODES OF THE CAR ENGINE.

If the mileage is negligible and your engine is still  like a new one, all systems are in order and regulated, it is clear to every driver – the effect will be not so evident, however, on the bulkhead or overhaul of your engine you will have to do later than its untreated brother. If the engine is completely killed (obvious knock in bearing trees, a huge oil consumption, etc.), no additives and drugs will not save it - miracles we, unlike others, we do not promise.
In addition, the magnitude of the received effect depends on the correct compliance of the processing instructions. Instructions are designed for the  middle group of engines, machines and devices used in standard average conditions. Therefore, in unusual situations it is better to consult with our specialists.

EFFECT OF ATOMIUM APPLICATION IN INTERNAL COMBUSION ENGINES.

In ICE, the parameters of which are close to the nominal values (the engine is new and its operating time is short), the condition is after major repairs, results of Atomium treatment are connected only with the reduction of friction losses, as well as reduction of fuel consumption and / or increased engine capacity. Moreover long-term maintenance of optimal conditions of friction will be obtained, which prolongs the engine life and noise and vibration level will decrease. It is possible to improve the environmental performance of the exhaust fumes and reduce oil waste.

For ICE of high degree of wear (50 - 70% of wear), the main result of  ATOMIUM treatment is the restoration of engine operation process, primarily due to the recovery and leveling of the compression in the cylinders. Compression is restored as a result of a partial restoration of worn friction surfaces of cylinder parts, but mainly due to the recovery of gas density units of friction liner - piston ring - piston groove. This is due to a large oil-retaining capacity of all surfaces in the node,  loss of air (air-fuel mixture) is reduced and the compression is restored.

Compression recovery leads to an improvement of combustion conditions and restoration of the engine operating parameters. As a result, fuel consumption is reduced, the engine power and throttle response increase, noise, vibration and emissions of harmful exhaust impurities decrease. Also the new created layer on the surface of friction provides an increase of the  engine life and reduces friction loss. Improved seal in oil rings reduces oil consumption, and reduction in the crankcase blow-by increasing the life of the lubricating oil and engine life in general.

Reduced clearances in crankshaft bearings and increased the density of the hydraulic gear pump increases the pressure and flow of oil, thereby improving the quality of lubricating and cooling engine components.

So the total list of effects can be presented as following:

  • Increases  the engine life in 1.5-2 times (due to wear intensity decreasing);
  • Increases and stabilizes compression in the ICE cylinders (due to the formation of a new layer and sealing gaps in friction units);
  • Cleans friction surfaces from lacquers and deposits on the 1st stage of treatment, including de-coking of the piston rings in their mobility;
  • Restores the work of hydro-compensators (tappets );
  • Decreases fuel consumption of internal combustion engine on 8-10 % (as a result of compression recovering and combustion quality improvement);
  • Increases engine effective power (as a result of fuel combustion quality improvement, decreasing combustion gas leakages to carter, and drop of friction losses);
  • Reduces oil waste consumption in the engine up to 3 times (due to the increase in gas-tight piston grooves);
  • Provides maximum engine protection in extreme working conditions, also in case of overloading or overheating and during «cold start-up»;
  • Significantly  decreases noise and vibration levels (by 5-10 dB of the diesel engine (due to forming of thick and resistant lubrication “pillow” and clearances optimization);
  • Decreases exhaust CO/CH emissions up to 50 % (as a result of improvement of combustion quality);
  • Provides possibility of short-time run under oil starvation conditions or when oil (oil pressure) is completely lost.

For ICE of largely deterioration, that is:

  • loss of capacity by 20%,
  • increased fuel consumption by more than 20%,
  • oil consumption higher in more than 5 times,
  • significant smoking engine,
  • oil quickly becomes black after even a short run.

The results of  ATOMIUM autochemistry may not appear at all, even when 2-fold increase in the concentration of the lubrication composition. In this case, it is advisable to carry out major repairs, and then perform  ATOMIUM treatment.

EFFECT OF ATOMIUM APPLICATION IN GEARBOXES, TRANSMISSIONS AND OTHER TOOTHED NODES.

In all units with toothed gearing as a result of Atomium application the friction surface of teeth, sliding guides, rolling and sliding bearings is partially or fully restored (except for those already destroyed bearings). In automatic transmission, moreover, the performance of oil pumps and hydro-density of spools (if any) improves, that leads to the recovery of characteristics of gear shift.

In automatic transmission (variators) the surface of metal links restores.

In limited slip differentials as a result of  ATOMIUM treatment the new layer is formed on the disks (that provides negligible impact on the operation of differentials at constant sports driving).

  • Increase of the lifetime of MGSB,  AGSB and variators in 1,5-2 times (due to wear intensity decreasing);
  • Recovery of  the optimal parameters of the shifts, eliminates “spurts” during gear shifts;
  • Restoration of the bearings and gears of toothed working surfaces in MGSB;
  • Significant reduce of noise and vibration levels in gearbox, rear axle (due to forming of thick and resistant lubrication “pillow” and clearances optimization);
  • Restoration of the oil pump performance in AGSB;
  • Improving of the work of spool mechanism in AGSB.

EFFECT OF ATOMIUM APPLICATION IN HYDRAULIC BOOSTERS

As a result of ATOMIUM treatment all  friction surfaces in power steering are restored: rotary or axial piston pump, pistons, spools. That leads to the recovery of characteristics of HPS.

  • Increase of the lifetime of HPS in 1,5-2 times (due to wear intensity decreasing);
  • Improving of the work of spool mechanism;
  • Restoration of the oil pump performance in HPS.

As a result of  ATOMIUM treatment in the fuel system of the diesel engine the fuel pressure in the high pressure pump (of piston and rotary type)  is restored (or optimally maintained) as well as in any fuel injection systems, including a Common Rail injectors and the pump, which leads to better quality of fuel spray, reducing fuel consumption and / or increase in engine power.

EFFECT OF ATOMIUM APPLICATION IN HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMPS OF DIESEL ENGINES

ATOMIUM HPFP application:  

  • Restores working parameters (pressure) of high pressure fuel pumps, Common rail systems, Pump injectors of diesel engines (as a result of optimization of spacings in conjugated friction parts);
  • Significantly decreases noise and vibration levels in HPFP;

The effect of the application of ATOMIUM lubricant compositions after full course of treatment is maintained for 50 - 70 thousand kilometers (depending on the operating conditions). In order to prolong the effect of the engine it recommended to provide  ATOMIUM -REGULAR treatment at every other oil change.
